Sophia, it is a pleasure to meet you. What I find striking about you are the number of different things you do and have done. Are you constantly re-inventing yourself or do you just have a very wide range of interests?

Hi,its lovely to meet you too!I guess I have alot of interests and passions and I always enjoy exploring new things that interest me, that’s what I believe life is about-experiencing as much as possible!

You are known for your alternative modeling. Is that your primary interest and how did you get started modeling?

I enjoy modelling, but also like expressing myself through acting, art, writing and performance.I started modelling for friend’s art projects, then as a nude art model at 18,and then things picked up from there.

You played Mia in the 2009 Horror Film “Animal Soup”, “Bear Scary” and “Houseparty of the Dead 6″. You are making your name as a Scream Queen. What attracts you to the horror genre?

Ahhh very nice of you to say so!I have loved the horror genre since i was a child-its very alluring – every one loves a good scare and i love over the top gore effects, cool sfx and themes such as the supernatural and, especiall, zombies! To be involved in this process as an actress is great fun,and a real honor!

You are also soon to appear in the upcoming movie “Kung Fu and Titties” where you play Technobabe  and “Three’s a Shroud” where you play Mistress Ayla. Can you tell us a little about your roles in these movies.

Sure – ‘Kung Fu Titties’ is still in production, i play a mysterious, scantily clad dancer, who pops up at the most inappropriate times to dance techo style! In ‘Threes a Shroud’ i get the chance to camp things up big time, as a harsh European Dominatrix weilding a strap on. I based Ayla on the notorious  Ilsa She Wolf  films.

You are a big movie fan as well. What are a few of your favorite films?

Wow i have so many!I love The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original!), Night of the Living Dead, Shogun Assasin, Gangster films like Goodfellas, foriegn cinema such as ‘La Haine’, animes like ‘Ninja Scroll’, war movies such as ‘Full Metal Jacket’ and  surreal cinema like ‘Eraserhead’-i could go on and on!

Aside from acting is there something in film or television that you would like to do?

I’d actually love to do some theater work, as i haven’t done anything really along these lines as yet. To get a really cool, unique role in tv or film would also be great of course!

For awhile you did body piercing. Where are you pierced and can you explain a little about how it is done?

I trained for around 6 months as an apprentice, learning to pierce, it involves many things and varies depending on the piercing. The most important elements are customer care, good hygiene and a solid knowledge of the subject, taught by someone you can trust and continue to learn from. I have over 30 piercings across my face and bod, as well as 7 dermal implants.

What do you think the strangest piercing request you have gotten was?

There have been numerous..! I’d probably say the guy who asked me to pierce his butt…it didn’t happen!

Burlesque seems to be catching on in the US. I know you have done a number of fetish and burlesque shows yourself. Is this something you continue to do?

Yes, i perform freelance at a variety of events, i enjoy the variation and meeting new people from different scenes. Im not quite traditional burlesque, so my style seems to cross over into both the fetish and the ‘usual’  burlesque scene.

You also are a writer and have done interviews yourself. If you were me and I were you what would you ask me?

Hmmm, arghh, i’ve been put on the spot now – i cant think!Good question! I’d maybe ask you what made you want to follow your current career path, what inspires you day to day?

Your persona is very open, is the private Sophia the same as the public Sophia?

I suppose the public Sophia is an extension of my ‘normal’ life,    i project myself in a more focused way i suppose,as its a public persona, but the essence of me is still there!

What do you hope to be doing five years from now?

Id love to have fulfilled a few more goals modelling/performance/acting wise and to maybe be travelling, still writing and exploring art and photography.  Id also like to work with disadvantaged children whilst on my travels, thats something ive always wanted to do. Of course, id also like to be happy, and for my family and friends to be happy as well!
