Interview with Nikkie Wenker

Nikkie Wenker is a  pretty hard worker and always put forth the extra effort to make the shoot great! She likes to make everyone involved feel comfortable and to have a fun time, but when it comes down to business, she can be serious. Nikkie has been modeling for about 3 years now and has a lot of experience in different fields.

Nikkie was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and lived in Germany for a few years. She came to America when I was 4 or 5.

She has done High Fashion, Themed, Glamour, Lingerie, Horror, and Fitness/ Sports shoots. She also has experience on the Runway as well as experience with Acting. She knows how to present herself and create something amazing in each and every field.

Can you tell us a little about where you grew up and what you were like as a child?

If you have an Asian parent, you already know what it was like.. haha! It was almost impossible to impress my mom and actually be good enough for her. But I believe that’s what makes me strive to be the best I can be until the day I’m finally good enough. <3

Was modeling something you always wanted to do when you were younger?

Of course! Like almost every young girl, they have dreams of being a princess, vet, model, etc. Also having  an older sister back in Germany who actually made it big in modeling, only makes me want it more and more.

What is it you enjoy about modeling?

I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things. What really gives my butterflies in the tummy, is knowing how hard I work at a shoot then seeing the final project after waiting a while. It only gets my hopes up!

Have there been any shoots that have been difficult? Any embarrassing moments you would like to share with us?

The only ones that were difficult for me so far, was holding a pose that actually made work a sweat!

How closely do you work with the photographers, MUA and stylists?

I have a photographer or two and an MUA who I feel close with and have that good buddy bond with.

What do you think is your best asset and your worst?

Oh that’s easy, best: my eyes. worst: my lack of boobies.

What are the things you love to do when you’re not “at work”?

Oh, I can be such a nerd, I like to play video games or watch netflix on my PS3. What games i know you’re asking? Well, I got all the Call of Duty’s, God of War, Fallout, Battlefield…

Who is the person, alive or dead, you most admire?

My daddy <3 May he rest in peace 09/1/09. He always supported me to be whatever my heart desires, and that was to be the best model i can be. If my half sister did it, so can I. It’s in the Wenker blood!

What qualities do you most dislike in women?

The ones who talks crap behind your back. Especially if you never done anything to them to begin with. What is the point of even starting drama? Only brings stress. I think those girls were born with a mental disorder.. poor things.

What would you be if you could pick a new career?

This may sound morbid, but i honestly would love to be a forensic psychologist. That, or a pathologist. I mean, it’s only natural- people are born and people die everyday. The human anatomy is a huge interest of mine.
