Interview with Aira Carol of Kasstrick Bacteria

Aira Carol is the amazing and beautiful guitarist for the Japanese industrial rock band Kasstrick Bacteria. Formed as a solo project by Kasstrick  Shown in 2007 in the Aichi Prefecture, they relocated to Tokyo in 2011.

Aira, tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up and what was your childhood like?

I was born in Brazil, I came to Japan when I was 3 years old. I grew up in Japan and I received so much cute love when I was a small child.

When did you first become interested in music?

When I was 15 years old I saw some street musicians performing. I was impressed by the splendor of that and the way they could make people smile through their music.

How did you learn guitar and what made you choose the guitar over other instruments?

I learned guitar on my own. I began with acoustic guitar and now I’m playing electric guitar.

When you were growing up what music do you think influenced you?

When I was growing up I was very influenced by all the music I heard. The first music I bought was of a Japanese rock band.

I’m became a member of Kasstrick Bacteria, invited by kasstrick shown, who was working in a live acoustic house that I had taken care of. I was attracted to the sense of his music

Can you tell us the name of your new album？

Monster Party, It is Kasstrick;s world.  It’s my best industrial rock album. Aiming for the world!

What is the best part of performing live?

I like the feeling on the first song we play on stage when the show begins.

What do you hope for Kasstrick Bacteria in the future?

To be active in the world. Now we play and create music in Tokyo but I think we will begin in earnest next year to search for overseas activities.

What is the music industry like in Japan these days?

In Japan, rock music is very appreciated. Our music style is not very well known yet. We are aiming to be a Japanese representative of this genre.

What have been some of your most memorable moments and places where you have performed?

Playing in my hometown during a live at Live House. A lot of people came to see our show. I always think  doing music iss good and love to see happy smiles on the spectators faces.

You also model as well. Is it something you enjoy doing and would like to do more of?

That’s now the number one important thing for me to do right now. To have various experiences, meet, learn, it’s growing to me.

Tell us about some of your modeling assignments.

I am a live show model rather than a still photography model and I like appearing in public. There are various hair, fashion shows, and demonstrations that I model at.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love shopping because I love fashion. I love playing sports too. On rainy days I enjoy reading. I want to accomplish, one by one, all the things that I want to do because there are a lot of things I want to do and places I want to go.
