Sofea Putih , 18 years old, quit medical school to chase her dream to be a model and also to be a successful business woman in the aesthetic field . She began modeling only recently and in a very short span of time has been in high demand. Within two months her name had become well known.

Sofea is a transgender model and she didn’t want her gender to prevent her from becoming a successful model. One of her first photoshoots was a bit daring with a make model in Dubai. Because of his shoot, Sofea’s name become a sensation . Her photos and story was featured in a front page article in Yahoo Malaysia. Capitalizing on her success she open an aesthetic salon to help people find their true beauty. Very versatile, Sofea hopes to branch out into the bridal and fashion industry in the future.

Today, Transgender models are still fighting to pave a smoother path. Some models are rejected from jobs because clients panic about their customer’s response. But the new visibility of transgender models is a milestone in the long road to ending discrimination.

When asked about her idols in modeling, she said one day she would like to be like Andrej Pejic, a famous transgender model.
